IBDP Mathematics Curriculum
Analysis and Approaches Higher Level:
For students who love pure, rigorous math—deep work in algebra, functions, trigonometry, and calculus with emphasis on proof and analytical problem-solving.
Analysis and Approaches Standard Level:
Analytical pathway covering algebra, functions, trigonometry, and introductory calculus; builds a strong foundation for STEM-leaning studies (less rigorous than the HL)
Application and Interpretations Higher Level:
For students who enjoy modeling and data—advanced statistics, probability, and contextual calculus using technology to tackle real-world problems.
Application and Interpretation Standard Level:
Applied pathway that emphasizes data analysis, statistics, mathematical modeling, and the use of technology. It is generally regarded as the most accessible level of IBDP Mathematics, as it prioritizes practical application and direct problem-solving over abstract theory.
500 IBDP Mathematics Internal Assessment ideas, each clearly outlined with objectives, suggested mathematical approaches, and guidance on graphs and tables. Every idea includes sufficient detail to help students move confidently from topic selection to project development and writing.
